Two flat round plates sit on the deck. From each, a curved tubular leg bends inward and rises through a hexagonal nut collar into a plain valve body, topped by a white porcelain lever on a short brass stem. A bridge joins the two bodies through a short round collar at its centre, from which a straight riser rises into a gooseneck ending in a short straight-cut mouth sleeve.

Left unlacquered, the brass is alive. It starts warm and golden, then darkens where hands and water reach it, keeping its light where they do not. Within a few months it settles into a deep amber with darker tones in every recess, a finish no coating can imitate. If you prefer it bright again, a soft cloth and a little brass polish bring it back in minutes.

Cast, turned and finished by hand in solid brass. No plating, no lacquer, no shortcuts.
