The drain and trap that finish a wall hung basin in brass.
A round pop-up cap on a short threaded shank sits in the basin. Below it a plain vertical tailpiece drops into a square bottle trap, a brass block with four flat faces and sharp edges. From its side a straight round tube runs to the wall and ends in a small round flange.
Left unlacquered, the brass is alive. It starts warm and golden, then darkens where hands and water reach it, keeping its light where they do not. Within a few months it settles into a deep amber with darker tones in every recess, a finish no coating can imitate. If you prefer it bright again, a soft cloth and a little brass polish bring it back in minutes.
Cast, turned and finished by hand in solid brass. No plating, no lacquer, no shortcuts.

- If you love the patina: do nothing. Let it live. A dry cloth after use keeps the tone even as it darkens.
- If you prefer the shine: a minute with brass polish, or lemon and baking soda, brings back the bright gold. Always reversible.
- What to skip: bleach, vinegar, and abrasive pads. They patina the metal unevenly.

Will the unlacquered finish tarnish over time?
Yes and that's exactly the point. We leave our brass and copper bare so they develop a living patina, deepening and warming with everyday use. It isn't damage or a defect; it's the finish maturing into something richer.
Are these really handmade?
Yes, genuinely. Each piece is cast, shaped and hand-finished in small batches, not stamped out on an assembly line. Because a person finishes every one, no two are exactly alike, small variations in the surface and patina are the mark of a piece made by hand, not a flaw.
Are your pieces solid metal, or plated?
Solid, all the way through, solid brass and solid copper, never a thin plating over zinc. That's why our pieces can be polished, refinished and passed down rather than replaced. The metal you see on the surface is the metal throughout.

How long will my order take?
